How long does a website project usually take?

Timelines depend on the size of the site and how quickly content is agreed, but as a guide: simple one-page sites typically take 1–2 weeks, small brochure sites around 3–4 weeks, and more bespoke or e-commerce builds 4–6 weeks. I’ll agree a realistic timeline with you at the start and keep you updated throughout.

Can you help with domains, hosting and email setup?

I can help with all the technical setup – from choosing the right domain and hosting package, to configuring email, SSL, caching and contact forms. Because every setup is different, these elements may be charged separately (usually £50–£130 depending on what’s needed), and I’ll always agree this with you upfront.

Do you build websites in WordPress?

Yes – all sites are built in WordPress, using clean, well-supported themes and plugins. It’s flexible, widely used and easy for you to manage once the site is live. I’ll also show you how to make simple updates yourself so you’re not tied to an agency for every small change.

Can you help with branding, logos and tone of voice?

Yes. If you already have a brand, I’ll work with your existing logo, colours and voice to keep everything consistent. If you’re starting from scratch, I can help create a simple visual identity and core messaging, or work with you on a fuller brand and proposition project before we design the site. That way your website doesn’t just look good – it sounds like you and makes sense to your customers.

What do you need from me before we start?

To get the best result, I’ll ask for a short briefing call, any existing brand assets (logo, colours, fonts), access to your current site if you have one, and any must-have content such as product details or legal copy. If you don’t have copy yet, I can either guide you with prompts and templates or write it for you as part of the project.

Is SEO included in your website packages?

All sites include solid SEO basics: clean structure, fast-loading pages, mobile-friendly design, on-page optimisation for agreed keywords, and metadata setup. If you need deeper SEO support – such as content strategy, link building or ongoing optimisation – we can add this as a separate project or monthly retainer.

What happens after my site goes live?

You won’t be left on your own. Once the site goes live, I’ll provide a short handover so you know how to update key content and blog posts. I can also provide ongoing support, updates and optimisation on a monthly or pay-as-you-go basis, depending on what you need and how hands-on you want to be.

Will the copywriting be included?

For most packages, I’ll take your existing content and rewrite or refine it for clarity, tone and conversion. If you need full copywriting from scratch – home page, service pages, product descriptions or blog content – I can add this into your quote.

Absolutely. Every site is designed responsively, so it looks great and works smoothly across mobile, tablet and desktop. I test layouts, navigation and forms on multiple devices to make sure the experience feels natural wherever your customers are browsing.
For more bespoke packages, I’ll also include additional breakpoints so the design adapts beautifully across widescreens and laptops too.
